About

Born in a garage.
Grown into a nationwide tour.

Seven years of craft beer, live rock, and a mission to prove you can have both without compromise.

Our Story

Beer and Rock, No Gloss

It started in 2019 with three friends, a brewery courtyard, and a conviction that Oktoberfest had lost its edge. Too much lederhosen. Not enough riffs. So they booked four bands, tapped a local craft keg, and charged €5 at the door. Two hundred people showed up. By midnight, the courtyard was full and the neighbours were complaining — in the best way.

Seven years later, Oktoberfest Rock spans three cities, draws thousands of guests per night, and features over a hundred live acts per season. The lederhosen is optional. The volume is not.

Milestones

How We Got Here

  1. 2019

    Brewery Courtyard

200 people, 4 bands, one craft keg. The idea that became Oktoberfest Rock.

  2. 2021

    First Tour

Expanded to two venues, 500+ guests per night. Proved the format could travel.

  3. 2023

    Third City + Wolfsbräu Sponsor

Hamburg joined the tour. Wolfsbräu signed on as headline sponsor and the festival went full amber.

  4. 2025

    Record Turnout

9,000 guests across three nights. The 100th band performed at the festival. Best year yet.

  5. 2026

    Three-City Tour

Munich, Berlin, Hamburg — September 18–20. Bigger stages, stronger lineup, same honest spirit.

What They Say

From the People Who Were There

"We played three festivals this year — none of them match the atmosphere at Oktoberfest Rock. The crowd actually listens instead of just waiting for the headliner."

Iron Kettle

2026 Tour Headliner

"I've been to every tour since 2021. Every time it's new bands, new beers — and the same feeling that you're among your own people."

Julia B.

Festival Guest

"As a partner brewery, we see people’s real reaction to new beers on the spot. No bar tasting works quite like that."

Rusty Anchor Brewing

Festival Partner Since 2023
